Earth Day 2025 – Our Power, Our Planet

"You care for the land and water it;

you enrich it abundantly.

The streams of God are filled with water

to provide the people with grain,

for so you have ordained it."

— Psalm 65:9

Since 1970, Earth Day has been a global moment of pause, celebration, and resolve. Each year on April 22, communities around the world come together to appreciate the beauty of our planet and recommit to the urgent work of protecting it.

This year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” reminds us that the solutions we seek—especially around renewable energy and climate justice—are not only possible, but are within our collective reach. The power to protect our environment, reduce emissions, and restore natural habitats lies in both systemic change and personal commitment.

We are reminded in Psalm 65 of the divine abundance found in creation—the water that nourishes, the land that provides, and the streams that sustain life. Our faith calls us to respond to this gift with care, humility, and hope.

✨ A Prayer for Earth Day:

God of the mountains and the sea, the wind and the sunshine, the meadows and the deserts, open our eyes to the beauty of our planet so that we may choose to nurture it for generations to come. Amen.

💡 Take Action:

Earth Day isn’t just a celebration—it’s a movement. Here’s how you can make a difference:
