A Four-Session Series on Christian Forgiveness
Starting Thursday, February 27, you’re invited to join a four-week series on the process of Christian forgiveness, grounded in both Scripture and recent psychological insights. Each session will explore the phases of forgiveness, offering both personal reflection materials and practical guidance to help you let go of past grievances and embrace the peace and freedom that come with forgiveness in the present.
As Robert Enright, PhD, says: "Forgiveness...starts as a private act, a decision within the human heart...Even if the offender remains unrepentant, you can forgive and restore a sense of peace and well-being to your life. The choice is yours."
The hour-long sessions will be held at 12:00 PM in Room 203 on the following Thursdays:
Come for some spiritual nourishment over the lunch hour! To help us prepare materials, please preregister with David Greenlee (david@tlcs.church) by Sunday, February 23.
Facilitator
The series will be led by Mary Denny, PhD, a retired clinical psychologist and spiritual director. With decades of experience in clinical work, retreat facilitation, and adult education, Mary brings a unique blend of psychological expertise and Christian spirituality. She holds a master’s degree in systematic theology with a focus on Christian spirituality from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. Mary is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Join us for a time of reflection, learning, and renewal as we explore the transformative power of forgiveness.
