Neighbors in Need Report + April 26, 2025

We updated our protocol this morning. With a large crowd and many new faces, Jeff thought to explain our serving process before he asked God to bless our day. Thank you, Jeff, for the gracious comfort for many new Neighbors.

Our team from Gloria Dei Lutheran served 147 breakfasts this morning. They are a large team. They prepare sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, burritos and fruit juice. They also honor the dogs and cats that are our Neighbors' emotional support. Notice the special packaging on the serving table.

John, with Edmonds Food Bank pointed out that they had delivered many more salads and sandwiches than they usually do. We assured him that they would not go to waste. They were gone in a half hour! 77 Neighbors accepted groceries, salads and sandwiches from our pantry. 5 families requested family food boxes.

Our clothing bank was also rushed. Noticing a long waiting line, they opened early. They continued to serve our Neighbors to the very end of the day. Their work is delicate "personal shopper" attention. Our Neighbors depend on their help.

This update is all about "the numbers". We meet new people each week and we see old friends who find it necessary to return to our care. While our numbers grow, resources must be stretched. All prayers welcome.

With God's help, we are doing this! 💖
