It was a perfect morning for hot biscuits & gravy, sausages, and fruit juice. The team from Gloria Dei spent the entire morning with us to prepare and serve breakfast plus take-out burritos. Our Neighbors were sure glad to see hot food.
And additional gratitude to the Gloria Dei congregation for holding a clothing drive. On our return to rainy weather, dry clothing was truly welcome. These bags are just a few of what the team delivered this morning.
To our breakfast teams: That dysfunctional sprayer at the kitchen sink? Aaron replaced it this morning. Rinsing the black beans for the burritos will no longer be so messy.
Our pantry gave grocery bags to 59 Neighbors this morning. Two families received "family boxes".
With Prayer: We honor the memory of Louise Fargo, who with her husband, Frank, co- founded Showers to the People. How many hundreds of towels did she launder and how many hours of computer purchasing did she manage over the last 16 years? Frank, Kayla and Jason, Rosie and Elinor, we send our love.
