We ended the year on a calm and quiet note. We can likely attribute that to a truly "comfort food" breakfast. The team from Gloria Dei Lutheran was with us to serve biscuits and gravy, sausages, milk and apple juice, plus burritos to go. Sincere thanks to you all for cooking, serving, visiting and helping with clean up.
Our pantry served 80 Neighbors, 2 families and 5 dogs.
Never to be encouraged or approved, but isn't this the picture of hope? As Jude pointed out. "All are welcome." Breakfast surely smelled good to this sweet girl.
Nurse Sheila with Advocates for Recovery was especially busy this morning. She sent two to urgent care, treated five for wounds, followed up with several who had previous injuries or illness, and performed pet care for a beloved dog with a paw injury.
It takes a large team to create welcoming community. Gloria Dei made up a team of 13. Advocates for Recovery had four team members working through the morning and twenty-two members and friends from Trinity were busy serving, hosting and listening. Every Saturday is a miracle.
Thank you
Joan
