It was bound to happen............. We could not have burritos this morning because there were no eggs on store shelves. We wish good health for all of the animal world.
Thank you to Pemco Insurance for creativity and a delicious breakfast! We enjoyed hash browns, sausage links, hard boiled eggs (You buy what is available) plus milk and fruit juice. Thank you from all of our Neighbors for warm nutrition and for your fun company.
Our pantry served 74 Neighbors, 2 families and 4 dogs this morning. Once again, the pantry team were patient welcomers to several new faces. They begin at the pantry and are typically uncertain about how to accept the bag of groceries and exactly what is polite procedure to ask for fresh fruit or salads.
The clothing area was busy as well. Each Neighbor works one on one with one of our volunteer team. If the Neighbor has a specific need, he or she has their own personal shopper to come as close as possible to meet that need. This is comforting compassion.
The season is changing. Many volunteers and Friends of NiN are cleaning closets. We're grateful for those winter garments that you share. It is still cold for our homeless. They need those dry, warm-during-the-night clothes. You are a blessing.
