On a sunny spring morning, our Neighbors were at least dry when they arrived. All were eager for hot coffee or hot chocolate.
As always, they came hungry! Thank you to Gloria Dei Lutheran for always-favorite-burritos plus a full breakfast of biscuits and gravy, sausage links, milk and fruit juice plus gift bagged dog and/or cat treats for our Neighbors' life support pets. The Gloria Dei team served 126 plates.
Our pantry provided food for 66 Neighbors, 3 families and 4 pets. The photos illustrate the early morning prep work that gets the team ready to serve. The back of Tony's Advocates Recovery Services car shows a portion of their contribution. They bring a variety of sandwiches, lots of Starbucks coffee, and always cookies or pastries. The stack of crates is a portion of what Edmonds Food Bank sends each week. Thanks, again, McKenna 🙂. Jude picks up a carload of bread, bagels, and English muffins each week. This is a gift from Franz bakery. Our village is generous.
HELP WANTED:
Susan is still needing help during the week to schedule appointments for the dental van. If you have some time for in-home computer work, she will happily explain the process. Her e-mail is s94er@outlook.com.
Saturday mornings: We invite you to give Neighbors in Need a one-day try while several of our volunteers are traveling or fulfilling other commitments during the next few months. Spend a meaningful Saturday morning with us.

Spring is here!! Trinity gardeners pulled weeds and planted vegetables this afternoon. The seed packages promise we will soon see radishes, lettuce and kale, carrots and peas. As spring progresses the team will be adding tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers just to name a few. Our Neighbors absolutely loved having fresh garden vegetables last summer.
What a beautiful afternoon to officially open the growing season.
We wish you sunshine!
Joan,
