People of Trinity Lutheran Church and Schools,
As siblings in Christ we are challenged to sit side-by-side with one another in the full complexity of our shared humanity. This week's SCOTUS ruling overturning Roe v. Wade marks a distinct turning point in our society, and it lifts to the surface of our society that challenge.
We at TLCS hold in our prayers all those whom this decision marginalizes, as well as all those doing the daily work of providing guardianship for children. We pray for healthcare providers, for those in law and government, and for spiritual counselors. We also remember that Christ's calling to us is always first to love, and that justice, equity, and mutual respect are the actions of that love.
