overview
This is a temporary, part-time (0.5 FTE) position, commencing in March 2022 through December 2022. Flexible work schedule. This position reports directly to the Administrator and will also work closely with and under the direction of our pastors.
position purpose
The role of the Pastoral Care and Administrative Assistant is to serve as a connecting point for information and collaboration among the people and ministries of the Trinity.
job summary
Assist in organization and tracking of pastoral acts and administrative duties within the worshiping community of Trinity Lutheran Church & Schools.
key duties/responsibilities
Pastoral Care
Coordinate pastoral care team, including the Trinity prayer list and prayer chain
Organize memorial and other special services under direction of the pastors
Provide general support to pastors and ministry leaders
Provide support to First Impressions Team and Pastors in connecting with new participants and conducting new members sessions and reunions
Other duties as pastoral needs arise
Administrative
Update member information on all public facing directories
General oversight and tracking of all membership changes
Update Trinity membership database and email groups
Organize and make accessible pertinent documents via shared drive to ministry leaders and staff
Support staff and lay leaders with tasks and projects as needed
skills and qualifications
Demonstrated skill and competency in detail management
Ability to work well with others and to participate collegially with staff members
Cooperative spirit helpful in working with congregational leaders
Competency in Google applications and Microsoft Office
salary/compensation
$20 per hour, flexible schedule
Sick time in accordance with Trinity’s policies and procedures
No paid vacation time or other benefits
