Utility Work on Lynnwood Neighborhood Center Continues
As you've probably noticed, utility work in preparation for the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center (LNC) project has begun. Fenced loading and work zones have been set up and will continue to appear until construction on the new building begins in early September.
The utility work includes running primary power from the pole on the southeast corner of the property to the LNC site. New water lines will also be installed in order to facilitate new fire hydrants. During this phase, there will be periodic disruptions to the entry driveways along 196th and parking areas during work days, but will be open in the evening after 5pm and all day on Sundays.
Pre-construction utility work will continue through the end of August. Once this work is completed and the main construction phase begins, the 64th driveway will be inaccessible as well as the newer, "upper" parking areas. Construction is expected to be completed and the new LNC opened for business in the Fall of 2025.
We will be providing regular updates in our weekly What's Happening email. GLY Construction will also be producing its own project newsletter, available by signing up online.
