Building up and joining in God’s mission as one to nurture, love, and serve all.
BUILDING. BELONGING. BECOMING.
Greetings Friend!
We'll kick things off this week with a note from Don Boelter, our administrator, coming to us all the way from Nashville.
Hi Friends-
As many of you know, I've been out-of-the office on a 10 day "Civil Rights Pilgrimage" journeying through the Deep South in a group sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia (their version of our Northwest Washington Synod).
It has been an amazing experience visiting with and hearing first hand accounts from "Foot Soldiers" in the Civil Rights movement, visiting sacred ground at the Edmund Pettus Bridge and Lorraine Hotel, and having the opportunity to worship at and visit holy places at the 16th Ave Baptist Church in Birmingham, Dexter Baptist in Montgomery, and "Old" Ebeneezer in Atlanta.
Thank you to my colleagues on Staff who covered for me in the church office during my two-weeks of vacation time, and for everyone at Trinity who followed my adventures on social media. The weight of the many of the things I saw and heard was heavy, but I felt your presence along the pilgrim's path.
A special thank you to the TLCS Endowment, which provided me with a grant to cover part of the costs associated with the group tour portion of my trip. Find information on how to contribute to the Endowment Fund on our website.
I'm planning on doing an Adult Forum or similar format presentation on a future Sunday morning after worship, probably as part of Black History month in February. I will be sharing stories and pictures, so stay tuned for more information.
As you read this, I am currently in Nashville enjoying a few days of post-Pilgrimage of R&R with the healing powers of country music. I will be back in the office on Monday, October 14.
Peace,
Don Boelter, Administrator

SUNDAY WORSHIP GATHERING
Rooted in Community Week 2: Grounded in Faith, Growing in Purpose
October 13, 2024 at 10 AM
In the second week of our Rooted in Community Initiative worship series, we will explore how our faith forms the foundation of our purpose and shapes the choices we make, including our financial priorities. Drawing from Jeremiah 17:7-8 and Luke 6:36-45, we'll reflect on how our core beliefs and identity in Christ influence our actions and the impact we have on the world. Through this reflection, we are invited to recognize our unique gifts and talents, using them to create a lasting legacy of generosity, service, and abundance.

🌱 Generosity Lived: Rooted in Community
"Generosity Lived: Rooted in Community" calls us to embrace a lifestyle of generosity as an expression of faith. With rapid changes in Lynnwood, including the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center and light rail development, our role in the community is more vital than ever. Strengthening our Mission Budget will help address mission priorities and capital needs, fostering deeper connections. Through generous support, we've already impacted local organizations like Cocoon House. Let’s continue embodying God’s love by contributing our time, talents, and resources, nurturing a stronger, more connected community.
